          <title>Senior Developer / CTO (Ruby)</title>
          <link>http://www.4engineeringjobs.com/view.php?job_id=20297</link>
<description>Senior Ruby Developer / CTO paying £k - £k and with potential equity as well!

Interviews commencing Fridayth May, so get your CV to me ASAP!

This is more than just another job. Client is looking for CTO / Senior Developer who would like to be a true 'partner' in his business. Small early growth company with a very positive order book and strong future, so now on the look out for a coder / businessman hybrid who wants a share alongside a good salary. They're willing to offer considerable equity in the business so that you can feel real ownership of product and passion for it's success.

Based in London (SE), they have been making RoR systems for Public Sector clients for about three years now.

They are not quite the 'Eden' way but they have elements of that. They need a Senior Developer who is a little more fully formed as Rails Developer just because you'll need to hit the ground running. Having said that, they are working on Backbone.js and not many people are that familiar with Backbone yet.

Their location has a good atmosphere, with lots of friendly people around, good restaurants, cafes and pubs. Fairly laid back, inviting and homely.

Technical - Rails, MongoDB and Backbone.js

Testing - Cucumber and RSpec and product needs more test coverage now that it's rolling out as a Beta; partly for reason that they need some regression testing. You may wish to consider this technical challenge of job.

If you like the work, the environment and things are going well, then over the longer term you would be the CTO with substantial equity as well as the attractive salary. They have spent the last few months presenting their product in the South East and London. The mood is up. The game is on. Their order book is filling up, they are self-funding and they are keen to get out into the rest of the country and the attention of the Technical Director is being taken off the day to day coding. Which is why they need you.
